Instead of self-defending itself on the occupied territories of a nation, Israel should declare its permanent national borders (which it has not done yet and which is one of a kind in the world) withdraw its troops, colonial settlers and extremist outposts into what it calls the State of Israel and then the world would believe that Israel is under attack. When you are the occupiying force, eople will not believe you that you are killing for self-defense. In this respect, Israel should be forced to abide by 22 UN resolutions which it disregarded since 1948. As Israel is let go without accounting for its brutal actions, it will find little good will and sympathy across the globe -- except the US. However, US is not a dominant force in the region and that's why Israel is kissing every leaders' a** to gain some legitimacy.
